Update – Multiple stakes-placed OFFICER’S CHARM won the Fillies and Mares Spring Sprint Stakes at Lethbridge on June 19. She is the 2nd SW out of Wednesday’s Out, who had her 7th winner from 7starters when her 2YO daughter SOMETHING BETTER, by Finality, took her debut in a maiden special weight race at Northlands Park on July 2. Something Better and British Columbian champion 2YO filly Finality’s Charmer have a full sister cataloged. OFFICER’S CHARM next won the Distaff Series #1 Stakes at Grande Prairie on July 16 and has now earned $56,900.
From July 30 to August 1 three of Wednesday’s Out’s daughters ran with great success in Canadian stakes races. On July 30, OFFICER’S CHARM ran second in the Distaff Series Second Leg S. at Grande Prairie. The multiple SW has earned $58,635. The following day, OUR TRIPLE CHARM, a 3YO filly by Finality, became the third stakes horse for her dam when she finished second in the $11,720 Grand Prairie Derby Stakes. She has earned $18,339 in her four lifetime starts. On August 1, SOMETHING BETTER went gate-to-wire to take the $38,355 British Columbia Cup Debutante S. at Hastings Racecourse. Unbeaten in two starts, the juvenile filly has earned $28,367. On August 14, OFFICER’S CHARM added her seventh win and upped her earnings to $58,636 after the multiple stakes winner won a six furlong allowance by 2 ¼ lengths at Grande Prairie, Something Better, Our Triple Charm and British Columbian champion 2YO filly Finality’s Charmer have a full sister cataloged.
