Washington-bred filly Makor’s Love (below), a 3YO daughter of Makors Mark—Ready to Reign, by Slewpy, finished second by a half length on June 27, but would come back on July 11 to win a $50,000 maiden claiming race.

4YO Saxophone (bottom), a Washington-bred son of Jazzing Around out of La Mae, by La Saboteur, would finish third in a starter allowance on June 28.
